A properly built pressure-treated or cedar fence with posts set in concrete typically lasts 15–20+ years here. What kills wood fences early is skipped concrete footings and no ground clearance — both things we do right the first time.
Cedar or pressure-treated pine — which should I pick?
Pressure-treated pine is the value choice and holds up well; western red cedar costs more but resists rot and looks better longer with less maintenance. We walk you through the trade on the site walk.
Do you set the posts in concrete?
Yes — every post is set in concrete, not just tamped in dirt. It is the single biggest reason a wood fence stays straight instead of leaning after the first wet season.
Can you build on a slope?
Yes — we step or rack the fence to follow grade so there are no awkward gaps at the bottom. We handle the layout on hills, corners and around obstacles.
Do you remove the old fence too?
Yes — tearing out old fencing is where we started. We haul off the old fence and set the new one in the same visit, so it's one crew, one number, remove and replace.
How soon can you start?
We schedule a site walk within 48 hours and a written quote within 24 hours after — most fences start within a week or two of approval.
